Welcome to the Bangor Museum
Founded in 1864, the Bangor Historical Society has been collecting, preserving, and interpreting the history of the Penobscot Valley for over 140 years.
Now under renovation, this landmark building
at 25 Broad Street, in downtown Bangor, is the future home of the
Bangor Museum and History Center. When competed, this modern climate
controlled facility will provide space for exhibitions, public
